Writing stats: General - December 2019

solarianaI really want to complete my stories. It helps to keep track of them, so they're not forgotten.
My WIP (not so anonymous) writer's statement:
My name is Jacie, and I have 4 WIPs.

Apparently, I've been busy!
Piano Man II (not really a bunny on its own, but a follow up to the Musician Bunny)
Some people weren't pleased at how pushy the team was in Piano Man (Musician Bunny), being present in what should have been Gibbs/Tony private time - (or at least semi-private time). So I wrote this one, about 1900 WC, giving Tony and Gibbs a bit more alone time, away from the team...and some people then commented that they were sad the team was being pushed aside. Just goes to show, you can't please everyone. I give up. There are absolutely no plans for a Piano Man III!
SeSa story.
I can't say much about this one, as it's a Secret Santa story. However, I got it done before Thanksgiving. I just have to do a proofread and send it off to my beta. I'm just really glad it's done! I think it's an okay story. I'm confident my recipient will like it.
Traditions
I had a thought of writing something for the "one horse open sleigh" prompt for the Happy Holidays Challenge. I use a number randomizer to choose what day everything will be assigned, and of course the prompt I was most likely to write pulled the first slot - Dec 1. I began thinking it wasn't going to happen, but then my brother and SiL wanted me to stay at a motel instead of their house, so they booked it for me. Since I had a couple evenings alone, I managed to knock out this story! This one wasn't a bunny long enough to get a bunny title! Just a short (2400) Christmassy fluff with Tony and Gibbs.
I have completed 8 stories this year! It's not the most I've ever written, but probably the most I've written in about 5 years or so. Just looked - it's tied with 2016 (at 8). In 2014, I wrote 10. I probably won't be beating that number this year. I have no plans at the moment to get anything more written this year, but you never know.

Just a thought about something with McGee's fictional characters. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but it doesn't bode well that it only has 50 words. LOL
RB 2019 bunny

I wasn't going to sign up for the RB this year. I really didn't have time and pretty much for years have been writing for one challenge or another. I felt I needed a break. Although, I also wanted to write. I did start something based on a piece that was not claimed. I decided I would claim it if I got close enough to finishing a story. Sad to say, there was a lot of family turmoil and issues going on in Feb-April. I simply did not really have time to write. Maybe I'll finish this one day. This revolves around bringing Ziva back onto the team after she left.

This one has been bouncing around my head for a couple of years. Never started it, just had some general idea for it. Based kind of sort of Cast Away. When the season premiere (Sept 2014) started with Gibbs and Tim in a helicopter crash, I thought to abandon this, but it's different. They crashed in a forest, shot down and chased by bad guys. In my story, they crash in the ocean and wind up on an island.

This bunny was inspired by artwork posted with Gibbs taking pictures. I started it during the summer (BB writing period...I was struggling with The Contract and started a few other projects during this time, also got several chapters of SOLD! done.) So it's undercover, Gibbs as a photographer. I got a bit further. Still not sure if it will ever get finished.
