Writing Update - General - May 2016
May. 29th, 2016 11:10 amBig news is that I've actually written and posted two stories in addition to posting my RB! The other two new ones are, first, what I wanted to happen in the S13 series finale. I wanted to see Tony being promoted to team leader. So this is the chat in the basement where Gibbs comes clean on why he's been an ass to Tony lately. This was written and posted before the season finale. The other one was written and posted after the season finale aired. I hated the kid plot. If Tony ever visits again, I fear it won't be about him or the job, but about Ziva and the kid. It's like Tony is now a background player in his own story line. The finale felt like it was more about Ziva and the kid than Tony. Not to mention a couple obvious (to some of us) issues with this kid story line - with kids being one of Tony's greatest fears and now he's going traveling with a 2 yo? And how did Ziva get blown to bits and the house get burned to the ground, yet this toddler who can barely walk doesn't have a scratch on her? And why the hell is she not crying for her mother? Anyway, my other story addresses some of the shortcomings in the S13 finale. It's a story some of us really needed as a fix-it to the episode.

Wyoming
Approximate length: 13,850
Summary: Tony wants to come out to the team; Gibbs is hesitant. While on vacation with Tony, Gibbs recognizes a wanted suspect and decides to pursue him.
My notes: Vacation in Wyoming interrupted by bad guys. Tony gets shot.
You Don't Waste Good
Approximate length: 1000
Summary: Gibbs has been treating Tony differently and Tony wants to know why. (This story portrays an alternate departure scenario for Tony. No kid. No Ziva. It's all about the job, like it should be!)
Ziva David Is Not My Lover
Approximate length: 5850
Summary: Tony can't believe Ziva gave birth to his child, since they never slept together. When they get the results from Abby's tests, Tony and Gibbs put a plan together.
Epic:
SOLD! (added to ch 58)
This story is still at 57 chapters, posted. I'm up to 1400 words for ch 58. I want to double that before it's posted. I have 2 major points to hit before this one ends. I'm guessing 5-10 more chapters. Maybe? But I do feel the end is near. I would LOVE to get this wrapped up.

Musician Bunny 15 WC (no change)
I've been musing about writing musician fic for a bit. I had some great stuff come to me when I was drifting off, but only remembered one line when I got up and tried to get it down.
Started 2015:
Crossover bunny current WC 3350 (added 2700 words)
Since I had heard NOTHING from one of my BB artists for 6 weeks, I did my own art. Then the artist came through the day before we were scheduled to post. Last minute! And although I like their art, I liked mine, too! So I thought up this to use with the art I created. It's barely started, but I'm thinking of setting the majority of the story in New Orleans with possible FBI (Fornell and BAU) involvement. I've added a *15 years earlier* bit. I'm probably going to get crabbed at by someone thinking I'm tromping into their universe, but I'm not. It's all my own. But Gibbs is a Dom in this and whoever is on his team must be prepared to play submissive for him. And then Tony gets kidnapped, tortured and raped. Did I mention this is what I'm using for my 2016 BB? I'm not sure I have enough time to do it justice, especially since I want to add in NCIS:NO and Criminal Minds. We'll see.

Plane bunny current WC 843 (no change)
This one has been bouncing around my head for a couple of years. Never started it, just had some general idea for it. Based kind of sort of Cast Away. When the season premiere (Sept 2014) started with Gibbs and Tim in a helicopter crash, I thought to abandon this, but it's different. They crashed in a forest, shot down and chased by bad guys. In my story, they crash in the ocean and wind up on an island.
Undercover bunny WC 3770 (no change)
Naemi is so good to me that I wanted to write something for her. I started writing it during the BB writing period. I may have added a couple hundred words here and there since. It is currently at 3770. Tim/Tony undercover. Tim gets kidnapped and tortured. I haven't added to this one in a long while and I would love to get it finished so I can present it to Naemi before she loses all interest in reading NCIS. I've been thinking more about this one. I'd really like to finish it one day.
Photography bunny WC 1180 (no change)
This bunny was inspired by artwork posted with Gibbs taking pictures. I started it during the summer (BB writing period...I was struggling with The Contract and started a few other projects during this time, also got several chapters of SOLD! done.) So it's undercover, Gibbs as a photographer. Maybe abandoned forever.

(because sometimes I have thoughts and lose them if I don't write them down! Will I ever write these? Who knows?)
Brokeback Mountain bunny not started
I recently (2014?) watched most of Brokeback Mountain. I've been yearning to write a cowboy AU for quite a while. Maybe for BB? I haven't put anything down or made any firm thoughts of plot or direction.
Post-Apocalypse bunny not started
Oh, I've been kicking this one around for a few years. So far I'm thinking Earth is taken over by aliens who enslave humans. Tim gets nabbed and one of the aliens takes him as a sex slave/pet. Ducky, Jimmy, Tony and Gibbs get away to Gibbs' cabin, but are trying to save Jackson, Tim, and Ziva/Bishop. Ha! I could probably kill off Ziva in this and not take too much heat for it.
